Signing in a controller?

When I boot up Gears 3 I am given a message that tells me I cannot properly play the campaign until I sign in a controller. How do I do this? BTW the controller is already assigned to the account that I'm sending this from so that's why it's so puzzling
to me.

Hello,

Have you tried to reset your console, hold in the power button until the console shuts off, unplug from the wall, wait 30 sec and plug it back in and power it up. When the console turns on, you want to see the green load screen.

not sure if I understand the issue, but a profile can only be signed in once, so if it is already signed in on the other controller, you will need to sign it out in order to be able to sign in with the second controller.

It doesn't really work like that guys.....

IF you have two controllers tethered in....if you go home with EITHER controller it just goes to the last person signed in. For example....i can sign myself in under controller one on the home screen and the go back to the game and then my son can go sign
the second controller in at the home screen........and go back to the game.

But then even if I go home with my original controller that i signed in with it still shows his profile at the home screen. Only one guy can be signed in as the Homescreen person even if more than one controller is signed in....it's very strange.

This works but it's not ideal. Requires multiple controllers. With controller 1 sign in with the profile that purchased the game, keep this profile signed in. Start the second controller and sign in to the profile you wish to play the game from (via the
guide button). Find the game and it should load.

Hello you need to sign out of your account with that controller. Also make sure that controller is not connected to your account when signing in. If you go to controller setting this can be managed there.
