Signed out of Xbox Live, disconnect/reconnect to wireless and it works again. Why?

So, occasionaly I'll be playing on Xbox Live, any game. And I'll randomly get disconnected from Xbox Live. But when I check my network, my NAT type is Open, and everythings seems fine. Then I disconnect from my wifi, and immediately re-connect to it, and
wahlah, I'm magically connected to XBL again. Why? Can someone explain this to me? Why am I being disconnected from XBL, if when I disconnect my wifi, and reconnect back to it again, it immediately lets me get back online? It makes no sense. Then, there's
a lot of times I'll check my network connection before I disconnect from the wifi, and it says I have no internet access, but if I discoonnect and reconnect it's imediately working again. I'm confused.

Xbox One disconnecting from Internet need help

I am have problems with my xbox one disconnecting from xbox live and when it does that it forces me to do a hard reset on my wireless router to get everything up and running again. I don't have this problem with my other consoles is there something wrong with my xbox one wireless signal or what so I do to fix this problem?Click to expand...

I had the same issue recently. My controller was also frequently disconnecting and then failing to reconnect. Disabling 'Instant On' has seemingly fixed my wireless problems.

strange connection troubles

I'm having a strange problem ; when I connect my Xbox 360 to Xbox live but I do not sign in it will connect normally, but when I sign in it will disconnect and I cannot reconnect as long as I am signed in. When I sign out again it reconnects to Xbox live
again. My other console connects to the internet normally. is it a problem with my 360?

It may be an issue with either the modem/router or your internet. Try unplugging the modem/router for 5 seconds to see if that helps. You may also want to contact your internet service provider to ask about it.

I have the same problem. My router and WLAN are both working normally, and when I sign into my xbox, the Live connection works fine, but when I start a game (GoW I), I get disconnected without any message. When I try to reconnect, it fails and says to sign
in again. If I leave the game, my Live automatically reconnects and works again, so all the Live connection tests run fine. Returning back to game, no change, it still disconnects without notice. I guess something's amiss at Live.

If that happens, just download your profile again... sign out and then press the big "X" button and go down to "Download Profile." Be sure you disconnect from Xbox live and reconnect before you do it though, cause it'll download your profile as it was the
last time you reconnected to Xbox Live! Hopefully that helps

Hi braelynnfiedler,

Firstly is your headset wired or wireless, if it is wireless you will need to reconnect it to the xbox after a reset as the xbox has now removed anything that was connected to it, if it is a wired headset then maybe try disconnecting the controller and reconnecting
it again to see if that helps.

Disconnect your router from your wall socket for 1minute. disconnect your wireless adaptor or ethernet cable. Plug everything back like normal, then dont sign in to xbox live but go to network settings, then search for your network, type in your WPA password
and reconnect to xbox live this should refresh your network and hopefuly fix the problem.
