Signed in Twice?

Can I have two xbox 360 live accounts signed in at the same time on the same console? im trying to play Destiny with my son and bought a gold membership for the ability to play with my son who also has a gold account already. Is this not possible? Thanks,

Signed in while signed out

I have a friend over and they went to bed. I signed in to play a bit of forza. Next thing I know it shows him as online. His xbox is three feet away from me. BS. It says he's playing fable and got two new acheivements. He doesn't own a windows laptop so
he couldn't be playing this from the bedroom. I thought maybe someone else is signed in so i sign him in and started a game then signed him out and shut it down to see if it kicked anyone. Made the change when he was online. But when i turned it off, it switched
back to saying he was online playing fable III. What the hell? When I sign him in it doesn't even say he was signed in on another console.

If a game supports local co-op (multiplayer splitscreen), then you can sign into both accounts and place. As far as I'm aware, Destiny only has online multiplayer, not local. So you would not be able to play it at the same time.

 

That's correct,

Games that do not support Local Co-Op will not show you your sons gamertag in the local campaign lobby. However playing online it will. When you are in the multiplayer lobby you should see beneath your own gamertag something like 'Press A to join' (for the
second controller) just simply sign the second controller in with the other account and start enjoying some multiplayer fun!

How are you finding Destiny so far? I haven't had a chance to get it yet, I've too many games to play currently but I am a bit intrigued. I did play the BETA but it wasn't really giving much away I thought.
