    Signal to TV cuts out


    Had my Xbox One S for nearly 3 months now. About 6 weeks ago noticed that the signal on any game or movie disc is very grainy. When playing a game, my TV screen goes black and I lose visual (but not sound) for a few seconds.

    I've tried 3 different HDMI cords, and my other devices that are plugged into my receiver do not have this issue. I think something is wrong with the Xbox itself. Sometimes it will resolve if I turn it off and back on, but not always.

    i have this problem myself it would blink black then an all out static screen wth occassional blinking i would need to turn off the console but later on it would happen again

    That does make sense. I mean when I have my tv off for awhile & then switch to 4k resolution it can hold the signal for about 12 minutes before it starts cutting the signal on & off & then the signal going out completely. It seems so much like a power issue.

    Make sure you have a stable and secure internet connection when downloading or streaming live tv from your xbox as if it cuts out, so does your signal. Try using an ethernet cable instead of wireless as it normally gives a better and more constant signal
    without the risk of it dropping out.

    Update: It's gotten worse now. Xbox isn't connecting at all anymore. I now think the solder has actually cracked. I'm guessing Microsoft used lead free solder which is more brittle than leaded solder.

    Such a shame. Going to be requesting a replacement now :(

    Well... I just went as far as to take my console back to the store and exchange it for a new one. Did the setup and I even skipped / did not connect the cable box.... The issue still happens. The moment I disable HDR all is well, the 1S is definitely having
    some type of HDR/4K problem.

    This was the only reason I purchased the console. The worst part is that MS support seems to have no suggestions at all aside for posting on the forums-seems like an odd support request for a multinational 68 billion dollar company.
