Signal loss with some games & apps with HDR

When starting an app or game that supports HDR (with HDR turned on) the screen turns black and my TV says that there is no signal.

With Netflix, the Netflix logo shows fine, then the screen flashes (like HDR would be turning on), and the no signal notification pops up.

With Monster Hunter World, all of the logos play fine, then the “auto save warning” shows fine, then again the screen flashes (like HDR would be turning on) and the no signal notification pops up.

Destiny 2 plays without the no signal notification, but it does not play in HDR.

The only time I’ve been able to get HDR to “work” is with UHD Blu-ray. But, my TV claims that HDR10 is being output, but it definitely does not appear to be outputting an HDR signal. I watched the only UHD I have (The Last Jedi), and then watched parts of
it again on the Vudu app built into my TV, and there is a DRASTIC difference. Either HDR10 is WAY less impressive than Dolby Vision, or it’s not actually playing in HDR10.

I was in the preview program, but someone told me that the most recent preview build was having issues with HDR, so I left the Preview Program and reverted my console back to the current build, but the issue is still there.

My current “solution” is to just turn off HDR in the Xbox Settings and everything works, but HDR was the bigger reason than 4K that I upgraded my TV, so it’s really disappointing that I can’t use it.

Equipment Info:

Xbox One S 2TB

Vizio M70-E3 TV

Vizio SB4051-D5 Sound bar (not pertinent but included anyway)

Using HDMI port #1 with the Xbox One S, & optical audio to the Sound bar. In Xbox settings, everything is checked green in the TV details page.

TV (LG OLED 55B6V) loses signal when switching from HDR to SDR

I am having a similar issue with the LG 65SJ8500. Signal loss when switch between HDR (Games + Netflix) and HD (home screen). Weird thing is HDR blue ray disk plays fine and switches back fine.

 

Lost All 4k playback

Has anyone experienced a loss of 4k and HDR capabilities. Bought a new ks8000 Saturday, Xbox and apps worked fine.

Sunday morning (post update) Netflix YouTube Amazon and Blu-ray do not show videos in 4k or hdr.

The TV apps are correctly showing the videos. And the Xbox recognized the 4k TV and all 4k modes are supported

Steps taken:

Changed HDMI multiple times

Reset Xb1 (keep apps games)

Reset TV

Power cycled Xb1

TV has Uhd colors enabled for HDMI port.

Checked network 102mb down
