Sign into old account unsure of email

H I'm Luis a Xbox user just like you. Thanks for reaching out us here. Do you remember if you associated your account to use the “Windows Hello or security key” or the “Github” to sign in?

Hey, I’m trying to sign into my old account that was last active 6 years ago. I have no clue of the email but I know the gamertag, and have found the profile on my Xbox. Anything I can do to get the account back?

To access your Xbox profile and other Microsoft services, you need to know the email address and password you used to set up your Microsoft account.

Important Xbox Support can’t provide this info, even if you know your gamertag.

Ultimately one way or another you will need to find out what email you used. The above article has some tips of a couple of ways you can do that.

Hi there, this should be possible. I think you are referring to an account on the original Xbox which isn't an Xbox 360?

If you sign out of the current profile, You can select "download profile". This is as long as you can remember the email and password for your old Xbox account. I have heard this works, but I am unsure. Try it and let me know.

If the email that you are trying to add to the old account is already a Microsoft account you will not be able to put the email onto the old account since it would not know what account to sign into when you go to sign into the account.

You would either need to put in an email that is not already a Microsoft account.
