“Sign in with the account that purchased the game...” issue

I NEED SOME HELP!!! I am having the same issue as everyone else but they are saying that I need to sign in to the account that purchased the games. I purchased the games on my only account. What does that even mean? I also do not have game sharing so
that cannot be the issue.

Once we purchased a game it will be on our order history in real-time and we can simply sign in on a different device and still have an option to install the game as long as we’re signed in under the correct account.

If this was purchased on Microsoft Store it’s not a licensing issue since the license is on our account not device. I would recommend checking all Microsoft accounts that you may have used.

Are you playing with the game that purchased the games?

If not, sign in as the purchasing account and start the games, see if they work this time.

(In this instance, the owning account does not need to be the lead profile - you can play as another profile, so long as the purchasing account is signed in.)

If it is showing in the store that you need to purchase it that means the account that you are signed into means that account does not have the license for the game.

What you would want to do is:

1. Make sure you are signed into the account that you used to purchase the game with.

2. If you are signed into the account that purchased the game then sign into your account at account.microsoft.com and look at your order history and make sure the status of the order is still showing as completed.

Can you check and make sure you can sign into the Xbox App and the MS store with the account that purchased the game, and see if that resolves the issue.
