sign in to my own account to play after being signed in???

I dont want to have to sign into the xbox everytime they use it. They use it to watch movies and tv so signing into it will still give them the option to play on my account after i sign in. I just want to protect my account From being used.

I signed into my son’s Xbox.

Opened COD.

Downloaded all req’d multiplayer packs.

Signed out.

After it finished downloading, my son was able to play with his own account.

thats the long winded way, just sign out of the xbox app, sign in with the account owning the game, download said game then sign out of the xbox app and sign in with the none owning account and play. been doing it this way for a very long time now for my sons, on their own pc's too.

Unfortunately you can't just sign out and then sign it back in with another account. It just gives a dialogue saying that the account is already linked(even though it's signed out/unlinked) and then you can't play multiplayer permanently because you're
locked out of being able to sign in after that.

Open the console settings, while you're signed in with your parent account.

There is a setting for "Signed out content restrictions", where you can prevent anyone from playing without being signed in, or prevent creating or downloading new accounts.

This will lock down your Xbox, so your kids "have to" use their own time restricted accounts properly.
