Sign in notification from somebody I do not know.

In my case it's not that I'm getting notifications, that's no big deal and I do want them. The issue is since they "fixed" whatever they "fixed" it is flat out spamming people notifications now where it did not before. You'd get a single notification before that somebody was online and now it spams you when they sign on the console, spams you when they sign onto the Xbox App (I want to add it NEVER alerted me when somebody was on the Xbox App before, only alerted to them signing into the consoles) and spams you when they come back from being idle on one or both even if they are already showing as online. I'm getting spammed alerts to people I'm playing online with that they are signing online where it didn't do that before either. I'm getting extra alerts too it seems because I still have the Console Companion app installed (for reasons) and it's alerting me in the Xbox App (both PC and mobile), Game Bar and Console Companion on top of my console (my Xbox 360 in this case as I don't have any Xbox console beyond that), not just 1 of them. I'm getting alerts of people signing in on all of those at the same time and it's rather annoying.

These alerts may be back again but whatever they did broke something else in the process.

.....you get a notification when somebody adds you as a friend aka follows you.

I do agree the notifications seem to not always update themselves properly and this is something that need attention at some point. I'd suggest exchanging gamer tags with your friend irl (if it's somebody you know like from work or what ever) or talk to
them through messaging on Xbox and have you both try to add each other. I'm not sure if there is an official fix for this but that's what I personally have done in the past.

Also, separate question but perhaps you or someone else reading can assist, do you know how I can receive a notification when there is a reply? I have checked the box on the forum reply box that says "email me when somebody replies" or something similar
but have never once received an email notification for any thread updates ever. I always have to come back and refresh the forum home page to see if any of my conversations have been updated.
