Sign in issues

i have multiple accounts on my xbox and when i try to select 2 accounts specifically, the account list closes itself. My friends accounts sign in perfectly but the 2 accounts wont even allow me to enter a password. Im not sure what to do. I even tried
to delete one of them and try to add it back and i got an error code. I looked it up and xbox says doesn't exist. Here is the error code if it helps: 0x80a40028. i can sign in to the website and everything else. it just does this on xbox

When I try to sign into xbox live I choose my gamer tag like normal and instead of allowing me to enter my code using buttons and directions on the d-pad it asks for my password and just has a white box to enter it. I've tried every button to bring up a
keyboard or something but the only thing that seems to work is the back button. Also, my controller will no longer bring up the controller/console shut down screen when I hold down the xbox button. This is all new tonight; I used it a few hours ago and everything
was normal. Any ideas?

That's an odd one, let's start out with these steps below, and please let us know how it goes:

• Uninstall/Reinstall the Xbox app on your iPhone.
• On your Xbox One console, press and hold the power button until the console fully powers down.
• Boot back up and try again.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

Do you already try to perform a power cycle in your console?

Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

So yeah, I just wanted to add that if the previous troubleshooting steps did not help you finally get into your accounts, you might want to try what we call a soft reset of your console.

It's a way for you to reset your console and clear out most software issues without uninstalling anything.

Just make sure to have all the sign-in info for any/all accounts that you have and that you have easy internet access so that it goes smoothly beforehand. Once you have that, then try the steps here on
