Over the past month or so been having an issue where probably 7 out of 10 time start up my xbox one x it isnt connected to the internet. Its wired by the way. Press on the main screen connect to internet brings up the test screen. It says most of the time
issue with xbox live. Press test connection and or detailed network test a few times and magically it is all fine all of a sudden. Or after a minute or so connects by itself. My internet connection and speed is fine. It seems as if the xbox isnt talking to
xbox live correctly or theres some form of authentication issue. Anyone esle having this.

When I try to sign into xbox live I choose my gamer tag like normal and instead of allowing me to enter my code using buttons and directions on the d-pad it asks for my password and just has a white box to enter it. I've tried every button to bring up a
keyboard or something but the only thing that seems to work is the back button. Also, my controller will no longer bring up the controller/console shut down screen when I hold down the xbox button. This is all new tonight; I used it a few hours ago and everything
was normal. Any ideas?

That's an odd one, let's start out with these steps below, and please let us know how it goes:

• Uninstall/Reinstall the Xbox app on your iPhone.
• On your Xbox One console, press and hold the power button until the console fully powers down.
• Boot back up and try again.

if you are in the insider preview program this could be why, if you are continuing to have connection issues try power cycling your console to see if that resolves the issue.

 

On this console I'm not on the insider program. Got sick and tired on other console constant updates. Tried power cycling. Only seems to fix it some of the time. Same as normal restart. Its probably only since the last update.

 

check if you have open all xbox live ports on your router

also check if you have good connection on other devices

 

Internet good on all. Ports are open.

This only started about a month ago.

Sorry to hear about this issue you are experiencing. Can you test this out and come back to us with the results?

Id like you to go into your Power mode settings and switch from "Instant on" to "Energy Savings mode" and then see if the issue persists.

To change this setting:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings > All settings.
3. Select Power & startup > Power mode & startup. Select
   Power mode to change the setting.

Im having the same problem ad the above posters and i have tried the hard reset and i have my power settings on energy saving. I have a wired connection, my internet speeds are great, and its been happening only for about the last month.
