Sign in issues with the xbox website

when I try to click the "sign in" button on the top right corner of the xbox page the button acts like text rather than a live button. any other way of trying to get to your xbox account settings redirects you to the microsoft support page(which doesn't
help). all i want to do is change my privacy settings.

I only ever use my laptop for gaming, since I'm not very serious about it, so it won't be possible to try to log in with another device. As for whether or not this is a recent issue, I can't be sure since this is the first time I've tried to log into the Xbox website, but, I have a friend who has told me that this issue happens to them to, and that this issue in general is very common, but has never been fixed.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you able to log in on another device such as console or mobile app? Has this just started happening recently?

What browser are you using, are you able to try on a different browser or through a console instead?

Did you check the Xbox Live Service Status?

I know several days ago, the service status site was reporting that there were sign-in issues, and I couldn't sign in on the Xbox website, but I was able to sign in on the Microsoft website.

Try signing in when xbox.com/status reports that all is well to be sure it's not simply a service status issue.
