Sign in hassle on Xbox One

I use an Xbox one along with one other person in my home. He signs in by default because we're usually using his profile when we are using the xbox.

The problem is that when I sign in to my own account, it ALWAYS asks for my password, even when I have the security settings set to remember my password and not ask for it. Today, I specifically set it to ask for a passcode instead of my password, which
it did, but after entering my passcode IT ASKED ME FOR MY PASSWORD AGAIN.

I would super appreciate ANY help on how to fix this.

Sign up to paypal with one of your new debit/credit cards and pay that way. It should work fine with very little hassle.

 

Off line coop play

My wife and bought an Xbox one in order to play co-op games off line. When we try to start a session, Xbox wants her to sigh in which requires her to go online and sign in. This is a delay to our gaming and a hassle since our internet is not always on. Is
ther a way to play co-op without going online to sign in every tim?

 

Hi there, I know this is probably just formalities, but I just wanted to make sure that you had the 'Make it fast, make it magic. No password' option selected under sign-in preferences as it doesn't look like there is a simple 'remember password' like the
360.

Also have a look to see if you have 'custom' enabled as you can set your password to be required for different things, full steps on sign-in preferences here:

support.xbox.com/.../change-signin-preferences

Though I assume you have already tried this just wanted to make sure that is the option you've chosen. If this is the case though, maybe delete the profile and download it again which might reset your sign-in preferences.

 

Yeah, I tried changing it to that, but the problem persisted. I changed it to custom in the process of troubleshooting and that's when I encountered the problem with it asking for both my passkey and then password.

I thought about re-downloading, but wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any clues as to why it did this before I did that. I'll give it a shot though, thanks!

 

Welp, I deleted and redownloaded my account and it worked. It was a much faster and easier process than I would have expected. Thanks for the help!

 

That's good to hear! I wasn't 100% sure about the deleting the profile as that's something I would suggest for the 360, so it's good to know that it does the same on the Xbox One.
