Things to reduce lag.

Play wired, both controller and Ethernet into the back of the xbox. Playing with the cable that came with your controller or the plug and charge kit will give you better performance in the lag department.

Play on a gaming monitor with low input lag and delay. Playing on a TV of any kind will delay you a short bit which may be long enough to be frustrating.

Don't play with friends across the country. Local players are ok, states or countries away will drag you down.

And make sure your NAT is open. Ensure your router is designed for the higher speeds and have an updated Modem.

Also, to get better internet speeds. Ask your company to come out and check the connections on the lines into your home. An improperly installed cable will slow down you internet connection quicker than anything else.

You cannot use a VGA cable on the Xbox One without a HDMI to VGA convertor. You are also converting the signal from digital to analogue. Not a very good idea and definitely not faster.

 

I will admit that playing with the charge and play plugged in does give some faster input times. I do play with it plugged in on my one and it I do notice a difference. And other days I play just as well wireless. It's all in the competition.

 

I thought they solved the hosting issues on this game regarding server lag? Ever since black ops 2 (terrible mp game) there was obvious lag and went to USA for hosting and some stupid kill cams where one shot would kill you even though you emptied a clip
into the other guy first! I have noticed the same issue on ghosts so I'll ignore the hosting resolution comments I've heard. Saying that we don't need to worry that much as most of the gameplay on ghosts is camping anyway. Can't beat mw2 or mw3

 

Btw I've got 150mb fibre broadband connection and I'm so sad I test my connection and I do get this speed so it's not my ISP.

 

Woah. Did I read someone said a $230 gaming headset? Wireless turtles are out for xbox1 in the USA? Lucky for you guys but in the UK I've not seen them yet, also we don't have connections that go up telephone poles here they are under ground. ISP BT use
adsl and some poor service which does go to the local exchange (like you guys/USA) and depending on distance can impact dl speeds whereas ISP Virgin Media uses fibre optics and the speed you get on dl is definitely the purchased speed package so smallest is
40mb and highest (mine) is 150mb dl speed. I thought you guys have that tech in USA now?

 

^^All the after market headsets will work with the Xbone, the only thing is there is no mic for it. The "adapters" arent out yet, but you can use the headset for gaming sounds.

 

You will have to most likely have to wait until the company who made the headset to produce a new adapter, which in most cases they are more likely to just bring out a new headset instead.

BT Wholesale (correctly called BT Open Reach - different to BT Retail) do actually have a fibre deployment; both FTTC and FTTP, which utilise VDSL2. Virgin Media use DOCSIS and HFC for their network which is not quite "true" fibre optic (fibre from one
endpoint to the other). FTTP/FTTD are the only offerings that offer a true 100% fibre optic connection.

There are also plenty of PSTN lines that are on lampposts. I would suggest research before posting such uneducated information.

 

Block them if they annoy you and trash talk just put on a post accent and follow the shooting and say your getting your comeuppance its up to you.

Also ghost takes so little skill black ops 2 was great balanced i even had a 3kd and a 7 kd on black ops 1 but stats mean very little in the way of skill.

 

I have always tried to have the best of every thing and still my gamming has gone to hell,lots of people are boosting and modding lag switiching, instead of faster clearer *** maybe more accountability and better lobbys for gamming . I have changed my router
checked my cables called my cable company and Xbox ,maybe your right I should stop playing and find something else 8, yrs of games and consoles and trying to be a good player is not possible it just took me this long to find out you couldn't provide the service
advertised?
