Sick of forced Xbox One updates..

I live in Australia where our internet service is far from ideal; in fact at our current location we are limited to mobile broadband, 50GB a month. So you can imagine how exquisitely infuriating it is when I'd like to use a little of that data allowance
on streaming Netflix or watching YouTube through my Xbox, only to be informed that a mandatory, several GB update is first necessary to go online, without exception. Why is this so? Why do I need constant, large updates to be installed to get my Xbox to use
the internet? Worst of all, after each update I never notice any difference; nothing is faster, more efficient or user friendly. Why not allow me the option of postponing this horrendously annoying procedure? Why not just leave well enough alone, unless the
new update is going to allow my Xbox to play holograms or turn it into a supercomputer? In the meantime, my Xbox has to stay offline because I can't afford to spend 4GB on an update this month, so no online streaming for me. FFS

    :)

    Update forcing disconnect.

I am sick of these forced updates while playing a game, I constantly lose progress for menial updates that aren't necessary for the game I am playing. My other friends are still playing their game without an update, so what gives xbox? I am one update away
from trading my system for a Playstation 4. Seriously.

Check Digital Pre Orders for updates

Is there any way to check digital pre orders for updates before release?

I'm getting sick of waiting for the game to release and then being forced to update the game before I can play.

    Welcome to modern gaming consoles.

This is just the way it is now.

Things are always being added or updated.

The last update did add a few new features to things like party chat

I've been to Sydney Australia 3x during the summer holidays. I'm a NZ citizen and due to the relationship with the two governments, don't need a visa to school/work indefinitely in Australia XD. The pay in Australia is far better than NZ and likely any other
country since for low income earners, Australia has practically the highest minimum wage in the world (it beats UK/US/NZ). We also drive on the same side including the UK, not some messed up right side of the road like the US lol.

Regarding internet, in New Zealand, there are two major providers, Spark, and Vodafone NZ. I'm with Vodafone and get 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload with unlimited monthly data. In NZ, we have landline, ADSL, VDSL, and Vodafone owns High Speed Cable network,
which is why many NZ'ers go with Vodafone, because the NZ Government won't have Fibre Broadband rolled out throughout NZ until 2019-2022. Where as Vodafone operate their own high speed cable network (100mb/s download/10mb/s upload speed). We also are cut off
from the rest of the world since the UK/US are on the other side of the world. However NZ homes have access to home networks rather than relying on expensive mobile networks. I've heard several Australian posters on here mention they're rocking off mobile
internet. You guy's government really need to get that stuff sorted. Australia isn't anywhere near as big as America. I feel sorry for you. Doesn't Vodafone operate their own Network in Australia? Cause they do a dang good job of it in NZ. Vodafone is like
    the world's biggest ISP.

Regarding Updates, it's a Microsoft product. Microsoft are notorious with spamming us with Updates. Regarding Updates, I'm sick of them too. My phone wants updating, my apps on my phone and computer want updating. The update wants me to restart my laptop
which has a 5400rpm HDD, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhghhhhhh......, and no my laptop isn't ancient, it has Windows 10 and a 6th gen i5 processor HP white sleek laptop. Which is why I really think Microsoft should be pushing for SSD or SSD/Hybrid for Xbox Scorpio, with
the amount of updates Microsoft pushes out, especially system updates which require a console to restart. And fact, an SSD can boot up a PC/Console in 10 seconds where as a 5400rpm HDD takes 2 minutes to reach the desktop screen and even then you have to wait
another 2 minutes for everything to finish loading and become efficiently usable.

But it's not all Microsoft's fault. Game developers. With Xbox 1, game developers don't have to compress as much stuff, as they had to with Xbox 360, since Xbox 360 had hardware constraints (DVD vs Blu-ray as storage medium for disc games, Blu-ray holds
much more data, Xbox 360 only has 512MB RAM, Xbox 1 has 8GB so no need to compress so much stuff, Xbox 1 has better graphics and that graphic data adds to the MBs and GBs in potential DLC and update patches. Updates don't always result in a system performance
    boost.
