Sick and tired Please Help!!!!! Security proof Issues

For the last 2 hours i've been trying to work out why it won't let me verify my account. i choose to send it to my email but it never comes and when i eventually get a code sent to my phone from my xbox (only way to get a bloody code) it says it isn't valid.
[Mod Removed] Microsoft seriously you have done my head in. i have checked out all the forums and even questions on the exact same problem i'm having but haven't found an answer. all i want to do is is to be able to purchase Membership and
i can't even do that. Think its time to chuck the 360 and Microsoft in the tip and move on to Playstation. If anyone could please send me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

I too am sick and tired of the new security proofs. Microsoft let me play my xbox and quit bugging me for passwords and email acounts. I sick of this.

Hey mate, are you trying to verify the proofs through the console itself? I could never get it to work through the console, if you follow the link and click 'Manage your security info' and sign-in you can verify them through the PC:

Thanks for the reply my man!! I first tried it on my computer (only comp for years) so the same one I've always used but everything I've tried always takes me back to that white screen saying to send a conformation email which I cannot get around. Everything
I click somehow will take me back to that. I mean it would be so easy if it just sent me that email with a code lol but it never does. I've spent ages looking through the forums and quite a few people have had this issue but everything I seem to try from what
others have said won't work and just sends me back to that screen! Same with the link to the page up there ^^^^ I have also tried to do the option ''can't access proofs''

 

Hmmm... that's quite interesting, so have you only tried to send the code to the alternative email? Does it do the same thing when using the mobile phone? (if you even have a mobile you can use).

The only reason I say this is when I think about it, I've never verified an email only my phone, so maybe that's why I've never experienced it?

Also when you used the cannot access proofs, did you end up clicking remove all and try and redo the process? What happened with that option?

 

The remove all proof option doesn't work, it just says the ''site might have changed'' and to go back to homepage. Well you see thats why I used my console at one stage because my computer won't give me the option to do anything other then send to email
but on my console I can use my phone or email, should it have an option on my computer to send it to my phone? Lmaooo all this to play a bit of multiplayer

 

If I do choose the mobile option from my console it sends me the text but then it says invalid code when I try to use it lol!

 

That is so bizarre! Yes you should definitely have the mobile option on the PC. The only thing I can think of is there might be some temporarily going on with the site (unless you've been trying this for weeks) or what web browser are you using? I often
had issues with the Xbox website when I wasn't using the more current version of internet explorer.

The only other option is getting on the Xbox phone support and explain everything you've been through, especially about it sending an invalid code and see if they can see something going on that we can't:

Well to be honest it came up once with the option to send it to my phone after numerous attempts but I chose to send it to my email and I did get an email with the code but it was invalid still.

Yeah mate think I might just give them a call and sort it out, my mind = blown LOL! really appreciate the advise and help but bloody legend! I'll post the outcome up for any future help for anyone else who may go through this

Sorry im using google chrome may that be an issue? Will try using safari or explorer and give that a go, maybe with a bit of luck it'll work

Ok I've given them a call and even the guy on the phone had no clue why LOL, he changed my account link to my hotmail to a different one I have, now have to wait 30 days for this update to take effect and then from there I should be able to verify my account,
so I guess it's a waiting game now!

Haha thanks man yeah hanging to start gaming can't wait! Appreciate the help man and for anyone with an issue like this which you can't solve just give them a call or change your email and wait the 30 days!!!
