Shutting off automatically

Discus and support Shutting off automatically in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I tried all the steps and it keeps shutting off automatically after playing a game.     Shutting off automatically


    I tried all the steps and it keeps shutting off automatically after playing a game.

    I also notice the game audio gets cut in half at times.

    Just before if shuts off it makes a ding noise.

    I'v only had it for 2 weeks now, not happy.

    Xbox doesn't turn off when I turn it off?

    My console does not turn off automatically like it should either. There is nothing wrong with it, I just noticed it takes about 20 seconds before it goes off fully, rather than shutting off after I click the off button.

    No not installed.

    I tried all the tips on xbox.com for xbox automatically shutting off.

    None work sadly.

    Iv dealt with it now for the past 4 days.

    Can't take it anymore. Gonna return it to walmart for a exchange. Hopefully I just got a faulty console.

    I've got this issue on both of my xboxs, I wonder if its an issue related to our accounts and not just hardware since it started doing this on my xbox one s and x at the same time.

    Hello Mark,

    Sorry for the issue with the Xbox. We recommend unplugging the console completely for about a minute then plug it back in. Also when you plug it in make sure you are plugging the console directly into a wall outlet. You can also try the troubleshooting for

    Xbox one shutting off unexpectedly.

    How do I put my Xbox One in Standby Mode

    Just say, Xbox Turn Off, and then yes. It shuts down to standby automatically.
