    Shutting down after several hours


    So I read a lot about instant or few minutes game crashes that lead to shut the console off but my problem is slightly different.

    Console shuts down after long plays. 3 time now, this time in gears 5 after like 4 hours 3 player splitscreen. Before it happend twice in valhalla, but also after some hours of gaming.

    Freeze of screen, or Controls glitch, and then hard shut off. Controller stays connected.

    Anyone else experienced the same problem? And had testet it with some of the new insider updates? Or do I have to call ms for an exchange?

    Xbox sent me a message saying it will shut down soon.

    i think it just warned you that it will shut down soon.

    as i can recall there are two choices in the settings about auto-shut-down,

    either to shut down after 1 hour or 4 hours if you have the box on, but dont use it ..

    Turn off after 1 hour of inactivity

    I'm having the same issue. I have "Turn off after 1 hour of inactivity," just like I always did on my 360, but I've fallen asleep while watching a blu ray and woken up several hours later with special features or the menu loop playing. It's been the same
    issue with Netflix, playing through episodes without shutting down.

    I wonder if the Kinect hearing noise from my speakers is causing the One to not go into idle/away mode and finally shut down?
