    Shrieking noise at Xbox One start up


    about 50% of the time when we turn on the xbox we get a very loud shrieking noise and get this screen. It goes away after about 10 seconds and we are able to use the console. Any idea what this is and how to fix?

    It could be that the HDMI port is damaged, you can checked that if you move a bit the HDMI cable that is connected behind your console

    Hello Nova, this is strange, but mode be happening at boot time because the console at the same time it is turning on is trying to read what is on the CD.

    The disc you have on the console would be from a game or a movie, have you tried turning on the console, let it go to the home screen and then colcoar the CD to see if it keep doing the same thing?

    I had a simliar issue with my original Xbox One X. Was silent for a few months and then starting making funny noises. Sent it back to repair and when got it back it was silent agian. And now a few later again its starting making the same noises. I just
    ignore the sounds now and turn the TV up louder.

    No not the start up noise. It is a noise that happens while the system is running. It is hard to explain, but sounds like a tinging/chiming noise that lasts for a second.
