showing offline after not logging in for 3 days?

It still does, but only for a certain amount of time. After a few days it will just show "offline" without a number of days.

Unfortunately it keeps you online when the console is off with a timeout of 3 days until it actually shows you offline.

I just turned my Xbox 360 back on and got the same error (bit after 8pm PST). Are you sure your not logged in though? I'm logging in just fine, but it's showing the Dashboard like it would if I were offline. The top right is flashing through with the friends/messages
and money and pressing the silver Xbox button shows I am connected to LIVE. Dashboard just makes it look like I"m offline. I did not have this error earlier though. About 2:30pm PST or so my nephew and I both logged in perfectly fine and had no problems while
we played.

Awhile back I had a similar problem with the Dashboard but it gave a different error. Last time I could log out of my account and it would show the online Dashboard though, but logging in and it gave the error and the Dashboard acted as if it were offline.
This time logging out of my account shows the Dashboard as if it were offline still so it's not the same problem I was having before

When you connect your profile to Xbox Live after earning achievements offline, the achievements do
not get marked with the date you connected. They merely say "Acquired", with no date, indicating an offline achievement.
(Even if what you say were true, it would show that online-only achievements had been unlocked while offline, and would still indicate gamerscore modification/cheating.)

Are they still showing as offline even though you know they are logged in?
