    Hi there hoping someone can help. I'm showing offline on Xbox live when my friends look for me (so they never know when I'm on). My profile is set to appear online and my privacy settings are set to everyone. I have no issues playing online or with any
    conectivity, I've even been able to join party's/games with them but still I show as offline to them when they look at their friends list/my profile. Any suggestions?

    Friends showing as offline

    I have been having this issue for awhile now when I get on my Xbox to play a game with my friend he always shows as offline even though I know he is not. I appear as online on his xbox but he appears as offline all the time on mine, I know he is not offline
    because we play games together I have tried all the normal solutions and nothing is fixing it. Has anyone found a real solution to this issue.

    Sorry to hear it. I've had that issue in the past. What was causing it was my Windows 10 PC. When you mark yourself to show offline it shows on all devices but apparently won't work to go back online unless you do it on Windows 10.

    If you have a device running Windows 10 try selecting the option to show online there and see if that helps.

    Hi thanks for the advice. I've tried setting myself to offline, turning off my Xbox then going online using the Windows 10 app on my laptop but I'm still showing offline to friends. Is there a particular way/order I need to do it?

    I've just realised that when going onto my profile on my xbox it constantly has 'Appearing Offline' under my gamertag and doesn't change when I change offline/online with either the console of the windows 10 app

    There's no specific way to do it. I've done that while the console was still on. Perhaps give that a try. Set your tag as online on the console and leave it on while you do the same thing on Windows 10

    I have the exact same issue as T Funk. I do not have Windows 10 on anything. I have reset to allow friends to see when I am online, allow everyone to see when I am online. I have done this from the X Box and also from the X Box Live site online. I have done
    a had reset. Everything and no success.

    There's no specific way to do it. I've done that while the console was still on. Perhaps give that a try. Set your tag as online on the console and leave it on while you do the same thing on Windows 10
