Show your support to Save Shenmue

As I write a global twitter campaign is under way.

Gamers from all walks of life are trying to lobby and get one of the 3 main plaforms (Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo) to pick up this great franchise and help Yu Suzuki see his original vision for this franchise through to its final conclusion.

Currently Sega hold the rights to Shenmue and the last time it appeared on the original Xbox it unfortunately sold rather poorly. HOWEVER this is NOT 2002 and in 2014 Shenmue has garnered quite a cult following from a very passionate community. Recently
you would have heard our newly appointed Head of the Xbox division Phil Spencer state that Shenmue is the MOST REQUESTED OLD IP.

Many people on Xbox or in the community have vocally stated that they want to see this franchise return. Still while Sega owns the rights to this IP, that may never happen.

Join us and add your name to the list, Help us to show Phil and co that buying the rights to this game and the franchise would be great for the Xbox platform, by making Shenmue a firsty party game it ensures that the final chapter in the Shenmue saga gets
made. Heck we could even see a complete reboot using next gen technology and have Yu Suzuki finally make the game he originally planned on making before cutting back due to technical limitations and introducing a whole new generation to the greatness that
is Shenmue.



Lets see what we can accomplish when we come together for a great gaming cause. Lets make it happen people

We need Phil and Co to see that Shenmue is a very viable IP that at present is being left to rot under Sega. But they need to see that Shenmue would have enough support from gamers to make it worth their time.

This game was way ahead of its time when it first released on the Sega Dreamcast and later on with Shenmue 2 on the original Xbox.

I am already particpating on Twitter but wanted other avenues in order to get the Shenmue movement going, hence why as an Xbox gamer I chose to place a post here.
