Should my Xbox One be loading faster?

I've been a bit disappointed with the performance of my Xbox One at times. Particularly in the upload app. I've recored the times it takes to load certain things. These time are the fastest I've seen and were recorded after a hard reset. Popping in and out
of my videos is painfully slow though.

Boot time: 26

Open Friends: 5

Open "My Clips" in Upload: 29

Pressing Watch All: 20

Opening 18 Second Video: 13

Opening no 5 minute video : 26

Pressing B to go back to clips: 26

My Detailed Network Stats are

Download: 44.63 Mbps

Upload: 14.58Mbps

Download Packet Loss: 0%

Upload Packet Loss: 1%

Latency: 166 ms

Wireless Strength: 84%

Does this seem slow to anyone else?

Lucian, log off of live and put disc one in. You should be able to load. Or at least mine is now loading. Hope that helps. Disc one is only for loading.

You should be able to play Pacman during loading screens.....one game had it.

 

Clips section is somewhat slow and laggy.. especially when watching your own...but remember.. they are not being read internally.. all your clips are cloud stored...but yeah,. I feel your pain... they load MUCH faster on my tablet.... or my phone from smartglass

 

Yeah when I'm wanting to watch them I use the iPad but when trying to pick through them to pick a few for an edit it's ridiculous I have a wait time of almost a minute just to get in and out of a video.

 

Do hard reset i had this where it takes time to open up

 

Try the same tests but with a wired connection, I have never had any of my consoles on a wireless connection because usually thats the first place to save cash by using cheap wireless components

 

Thanks. I'll try that to see what difference it makes but I won't can't use a wired connection permanently due to the layout of my home

Do you ever read what your responding to? Honestly the op stated in his post that he did a hard reset 2 posts above your reply.

 

i have noticed these lag times as well unfortunately. Add installation time on there too thats about 30min - 1 hour

 

I am on a wireless myself... let me switch over and see hat happens later tonight... I would go with a wired connection but I only have one available port... and that goes to my 360

 

For me to move my family's Xbox One off of wireless, I would have to find a way to funnel an ethernet cord all of the way across the house (50+ ft.) or move the router closer to the Xbox One (which will create its own set of problems with other devices).

 

If you have a Good wireless router that really doesn't matter, both my 360 and xbox one are on wireless and i have 0 problems, and my gaming pc. Yeah its recommended to be hard wired but like i say if you have a GOOD wireless router it wont matter... I don't
understand what @Shaggy2000 means when he says "because usually thats the first place to save cash by using cheap wireless components" when hard wired is actually the cheap way as you don't have to buy a wireless router.

 

i been having that problem and more slow and frezzing no matter how many times i do the clear system cache, I am all ready on my 4th XBOX ONE.

 

@GG, running ethernet around a house is relatively pain free and simple, I used to run one under the carpets in my house. You just run it under the carpets and along the skirting where you can't. That said, modern technology doesn't really make it all that
much of an issue now. My wireless strength has proved to be just as good as my wired and so I've opted for that even though my Xbox is about 3 feet from my router.
