at the time they are kinda losing to sony 2 to 1(in the us) and also if they stopped researching kinect and spending money on the kinect which if they did a poll i bet like 5 percent of people actually want the kinect and half of that is microsoft employee's
if they cut the price they would make more money i think and if they stopped the whole kinect gimmick they could save a lot of money would do you think

    :)

Xbox One set for $50 price cut in the U.S?

News of the possible price cut comes via the Official Microsoft Store, which has cut the price of the Titanfall bundle to $450.

Console Price Decrease - Did Microsoft Miss An Opportunity?

Games prices, not Microsoft, only devs/publishers choice.By the way,the games that got a price cut or sales on Xbox one marketplace, are games publish by Microsoft.

The Xbox one price drop is only in UK and still the price is over $/€ 500.

More a smart move than a dumb one.

So you're saying Xbox should be more like Playstation? I'm gonna go ahead and say no thanks. Frankly, I enjoy the Kinect. I have found the voice commands to be extremely enjoyable, and I believe that as the Kinect is further developed, and gets even better
at watching hand gestures, Xbox may be the premiere system for innovative controls by individuals who speak through sign language, which would be absolutely remarkable. Give up the "Kinect gimmick"? Stop researching Kinect? Stop investing in it? No, no,
    and absolutely not.

  5. Even if they took $200 off the price, I'd still be like meh. It's not really the COST that bothers me. It's the disconnect that seems to be happening between MS and gamers.

@klokkwork i can't help but notice that you seem to keep the price issue out of your post do you work for msft, also the kinect has no games worth playing and voice controls don't always work and the controls for games don't always work like for fighter
within or so i've heard it is still clunky, i like the idea for health and research purposes but shoving it down the throats of their customers(us) no they should sell the rights of kinect to medical researchers and spend the money for games and games studios

@Overlord Lol, no, not an employee, though I'd be more than willing to work for them if they offered. (*hint hint, MS*) Sorry, didn't mean to leave the part out about the price. If they want to charge less for it, that's fine. I got mine, I'm good. All
I was concerned about was that they not just drop the Kinect. I think it's a fantastic piece of equipment worth further development. I think it can potentially end up helping a lot of people in ways that the rest of the gaming industry isn't even looking
into yet. The voice controls have worked very well for me. You may need to just run the audio tuner.

The sports games have been very fun in my household. Also my daughter uses it for Kinectimals, Kinect Adventures, and Disneyland Adventure Kinect. I have Fable: Journey, which is actually a pretty fun use of the Kinect, and the Xbox Sports Rivals trial, with
the Wake Racing, uses the new Kinect even better. It can even tell the difference between two people shouting voice commands! It also requires less floor space, just in case that's an issue. I haven't tried Fighter Within yet, but I'm willing to give it
    a shot.

Kinect really isn't being forced down anyone's throat. Yes, the Kinect comes standard with the Xbox One now. But the Xbox One was developed from the ground up with the Kinect in mind. The Xbox 360 was not, and the Kinect was introduced to it as an afterthought.
So I can understand why they don't sell the Xbox One without it. But they will let you disconnect it, so you don't have to use it.

I'm not too man about the price. I wont be getting an Xbox One for quite a while anyways, so when I do get it, the price should drop somewhat.

Should they drop the price? Yes. Will they drop the price? Probably not for a very long time.. It would be too early in the game to even consider dropping the price. No doubt they have to make up the money for what they lost in production time and labour
costs. Not to mention keep investors happy with a decent market value with stocks and other business stuff. Personally I don't care if it is full price, dropped in price or it comes in a bundle pack. I already decided not to buy one for all the obvious reasons
out there as well as from personal reasons and opinions. My advice would be to be patient and wait it out if cost is a problem for you. It will eventually become cheaper down the track but be expected it will probably be a long wait. You can always stick with
what you already have whether it be an Xbox 360, PS3 or a Nintendo Wii. Each last gen platform still has plenty of great games that have yet to come out, which will keep you entertained for a long time while you wait. Not to mention plenty of already released
games out there that are going for dirt cheap or if you are like me still have a backlog of great games to play.

Well Microsoft advertises the Xbox One as an "all in one entertainment" console, but after reading reviews about it from various sources it would seem it is nothing even close to that. So yes, they should drop the price. Or they
should alter their advertisement and/or live up to that advertisement. Either way they have a lot of work to do to convince many of its customers that it is worth the price tag it currently holds.
