Should I stay with XBox?

I don't get to play a lot, but really do like gaming. I have an 18 month old 360S that crapped out. E68 error that does not resolve when the HD is taken out. Tried all the troubleshooting. Every Nintendo product I've ever bought is still working fine.
XBox seems prone to these problems and I'm wondering if I should cut my losses and find a different system or send it in for repair and hope it's better. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks my sister is always nagging my dad to go on his Xbox to play Minecraft so I think he will be more than happy to pre order this one for me provided I give my sister my old one. (My dad has a 4GB slim) But he only plays Kinect and F1 2011 so he doesn't
really need much memory (he still has 3GB left somehow!) Please can you answer my other post called "Destination Unknown" thank you.

Trade or donade your old system. It is about to die, anyway and the larger drive is not the only new thing on recent consoles. Pretty soon you will not be able to upgrade live functions anymore without a larger disk.

They will probably just send you a reconditioned one if you were to send it in for repair. It would be a completely different Xbox 360. If I was you I would go with the pros and cons of the system and then make a choice of what is best to do. It is your
choice and your choice alone.

Hey OP, what I did in a similar situation was buy a new Slim and Keep my old phat. I did a license transfer but still use both xbox's on the same account. This may not be ideal for you but i see it that I have 2 consoles and twice the HDD space, and if you
have any scratched discs that won't install anymore but you've already installed on your current 360, then you can still play them.

Pure PK Bywater do you have a limited budget or are you planning to save money?...In my opinion I think you should change your older console to a new one (Note: I have the Xbox 360 Arcade). Since you said it is 3 years old I would suggest to change it since
it is at risk that it might start failing. If you want to save up some cash you could buy the 4gb Xbox 360 Slim and buy a Third-Party HDD that satisfies your wants.
