Should I just install this game without updating it in order to start playing it offline?

    Hi,

I am very tired and troubled by this game. I spent a fortune on buying "Watch Dogs," Primagames published guide--limited edition and artbook. I don't live in the States, so besides the game disc, which I purchased in where I am, I purchased the the other
two at Amazon. I was really really excited to play this game until something just happens in which I am not able to even play this game as desired. I will elaborate what just happens so maybe someone can get me through.

Right after inseting this disc, I was asked to install this game in the first place, so I chose to--the lady in the gameshop where I bought this game today told me that the very first time I play this game I must have it downloaded to my Xbox One, then I
don't have to do anything like connecting to the internet to play--I could enjoy the main missions/storyline of this game after I have installed it. So of course I installed it--got that quequed coming so I had to re-start my Xbox One a few times to get it
    through.

Now the installation is finally completed, so when I launched the game, it asked me whether if I want to connect to UBIsoft server something like that. And so, I chose yes, but it then told me that I was not connected to internet something like that, and
something like I was not connect to Xbox Live--but I am sure I did. So I really don't understand where the problem is. But, I was able to see the game running, showing some cool graphics of Watch Dogs opening like that. I was also given many options like "Start
New Game" or anything like that. So even I failed to get myself connected to the internet, I wasn't disappointed at all since I knew that I was just going to play it offline, enjoying the storyline by myself.

Now, the real problem just begins. Somehow the screen ask me like "Watch Dogs needs update," and it's up to my whether to update or not. I chose to because I really didn't want to miss anything of this great game. That's when the problem came up. Right after
I chose to, it keeps showing updating without any progress, and sometimes switched to queued. Not only can't I update this game, I can't play this game offline as I want!

Actually, this kind of problem happened to me when dealing with Titanfall. But Titanfall is a little bit different that it also needs upgrade after installation complete since it is meant to be a online-game. But Watch Dogs is not. I have tried "Power Cycle,"
and it is stuck right there. Before, when I was trying to deal with this kind of issue with Titanfall, someone has suggested me to do it when the system is in stand-by mode. But I don't know how to do it, because when I turn off the console, the programs
    stopp running.

I temporarily live in the country where the internet speed is disastrous. There is nothing I can do about it now

If anyone can give me a hand, that'd be great!

    Thanks!

    :)

Naa Alpher mate, that'll be it Autosaving. Xurts, yeah I get that too, the only way I've found to fix that is to get shot by another arrow/bolt.
