Should I get what I want, or what my friends want?

Soon I am going to be investing in a next-gen console, but I'm not sure which one to get. I really want toe xbox one, I love the games it has, and I don't want to pay for playstation plus, but all my friends are getting ps4, and I really want to have someone
to play with when I get watch dogs and destiny and the division, games that are really fun with your friends. So what do you think? Should I get xbox one and play alone? or PS4 and play with my friends?

What Should I get

Force Unleashed isn't that bad but it's VERY short. It only took me about 4 hours to complete and I don't even like hack n' slash games. It's definately not worth £15 especially when games like RDR and even New Vegas are there for the same price.

I put over around 20 hours into the game and still didnt finish everything.

 

Is getting or making new friends an option?

 

If I was in your shoes I would buy the same console as my friends, but like Wh1t35hadow says if your OK with making new friends on XBL then get the console you want. Truth is you can't go wrong with getting either, both are good
consoles.

 

I would personally buy the thing that you want. I've made the mistake of buying what friends have bought and recommended and hardly ever play. So in future I will only look out for my best interest.

 

It's your money so i'd get what you want.Have a look at what each console has to offer & pick the one thats right for you.

 

I would just research both consoles and make a decision for yourself.

 

I would do my research, and get the system I wanted, than start saving a little every month and in a few months have enough for the other one. A win/win situation

 

Tough call, Funky. I'd personally get the console you wanted, but I understand the draw/allure of playing online with your friends.

 

Get what you want assuming you've researched both. It's your money and ultimately your decision. You'll make new friends to co-op with anyhow. What's important is the games so if xbox one has more exclusives you prefer the you know what to do.

If you aren't happy with the console chances are you can trade it in for a PS4 later.

 

Personally Id get what I felt was the best fit for me. Take into account your friends decision along with other factors.

 

I'd get what I wanted, unless playing with your friends is a huge thing to you as some people mostly play games to socialise with friends. I myself love the single player experience a little more, so I would probably see more benefit in getting the console
my friends aren't on, haha.

 

Buy both. Keep the ps4, send my the xone.

 

You may not always get what "you want" in life.......In this case, Why not just get both???? Sure it will take a while to get the monies but, it's an option.

Look for deals and you can get both consoles at a decent price.....
