Should I Buy It?

Godslayer and your the type of gamer who expects everything to be perfect in this generation right? I dare you to ask any person that has played a MMO and its had this problem. Not all games are perfect right off the bat, instead of going on a war with the
company people need to help them with what the problems are and etc. Send them tickets, tell them whats broken and what needs fixing, a beta can only do so much. I'm on here trying to help people but its like oh hes trying to help? Lets bite his neck off.
Go ahead and say i'm a bad "Gamer" or a "Fanboy" but all i'm doing is trying to help, a lot of people expected this game to be like this when it came out, that's why it was held off for another year, the company knew it wasn't going to run on Xbox 1 perfectly
last year. Every game has its issues and bugs, I have had friends who have bought games before and they are completely unplayable. I've had the same issues with a lot of games to. As you said Neverwinter was Perfect, for you maybe, for me? I had issues on
it, and so did a couple of my friends. As said, i'm trying to help, if you have a problem just ask, i'll try my best to see if I have a answer, and if not, then please just send a ticket to the company telling them the bug and it will be fixed. Stuff can't
be fixed if the player base is trying to eat its self alive.

 

I get what you are saying Lein and certainly didn't/don't wanna come off as piling on you. It's understandable that with situations like this it is knee jerk reaction to have hot and cold feelings. Most people are going to be *** or completely ok, fine with
waiting it out. Then there are the very few who can be level headed about it.

I can admit that I was absolutely in the "***" demographic the other night as I repeatedly tried to get the game to load, and then once I did only got to play for a matter of maybe an hour before getting booted and haven't been able to get into a game since.
I have been all over the interwebs since to educate myself and with that I have gained a sense of closure and calm about it. I am still not very happy that I bought something only to have to wait to really be able to enjoy it, but knowing that it will eventually
be what it is supposed to be is a decent enough consolation.

Again my apologies if I came across like a jerk. I just think that telling people to stop ranting isn't going to accomplish anything more than make them lash out at you more, giving them something to focus the animosity on.

Lien, Let it go...these boys are now out of school and just want to argue. I was an early WaW player and if they think ESO is broke..OMG...they'd have tore their hair out over WaW.

It seems a LOT of the naysayers are actually PC trolls who are po'd to high heaven that we (console) do NOT have to pay a monthly fee. If you get on other game boards they're losing their minds over the fact that they paid over $150 for a year of ESO and
not all of their stuff is going to transfer. So they go everywhere and beat the game down...to 'teach them a lesson'...or whatever.

These kids also forget the horrific problems with COD...I don't. Any time you have a large group of online players you're going to have SOME kind of problem.

I've played it for 2 days...never had a logon problem...but to be honest it has crashed 2x. I had to quit and reboot game (not console)....but I can deal with it.

Godslayer1975...is english your 2nd language? I had a hard time parsing out what exactly you meant. I also take a big exception to you saying FF on PS4 was smooth as butter...do what? Not for me and my friends it was glitchy and laggy. At that point I stopped
listening to you...

 

A tech support person at Microsoft figured out why I couldn't enter my email or userid to start the game. I needed to unplug my usb keyboard. I'm in the game finally!

 

@Yeeshkah wow thats a odd thing that the keyboard was affecting your ability to get in, either way congrats!

 

The game has its problems at launch like any MMO. I too was very frustrated with this launch having not been able to log in straight away but I get it. Its not the number of people on the sever thats creating the issues, its the number logging in at the
same time.

I played this game on PC and its launch was far worse imo. The game is very much worth waiting for and I thoroughly enjoyed it on PC and have now got the chance to play it on xbox with my friends which will make it that much better.

Tuesday was horrible but last night I had no issues what so ever, so quite frankly imo this has been the best launch for an MMO that I have ever experienced. A lot are new and wouldn't understand.

If you want an MMO that launches perfectly you're probably going to end up paying more for the extra servers and services that would then become redundant after the first week when the logging pattern becomes more spread and balanced.

no were adults who don't sit there and think that just because games before released broken it should be allowed and common place and this game was out a year now on PC and we were promised yes promised by the devs there would be no issues other than a bit
of logging in issues because thats understandable. The main quests that cant be finished games that have game breaking bugs . things will never change if you don't say anything and put in complaints what is the point look what happened with the x1 because
of there anti consumer stance even the die hard xbots i know bought a ps4 first and now there slowly buying a x1 and that was because people complaining on forums and videos and more and we got a normal gaming machine. But i love how you call a person with
a valid complaint a PC player or a Sony pony who came here to just start stuff LOL . Yes thats why my years with xbox are from day 1 of the original and why my achievements are nearly 200 000 guess what i am a PC player because i am a gamer i game on PC ,
Xbox ,ps4 , Wii u , 3ds , vita because its the games not the format your gaming on only fanboys talk like that . Every one if you have a problem its your right as a gamer to speak up because even though those 2 guys think its ok because wow was bad and other
games we know better we know to get thing changed are voices need to be heard because i don't want another NA gaming crash so the thing i love to do does not die like it did in the 80s. KEEP GAMING on your console of choice because its about the games not
and having fun not the companies of a delivery system.

Can actually say I had a pretty enjoyable experience as I was playing last night. I did have to wait in que 15 minutes on 2 separate occasions, but in the grand scheme of it all that was not bad at all. Still seems to be a bug with quests that either can't
be turned in or started due to the NPC being invisible or not available to be talked to. It will bring up the prompt to hit A to talk to them but won't do anything when you do. Also having an issue where other players, including group members won't have their
normal skin for their character and just show up as a shadow figure. Their weapons look normal, but they are just a black shadow figure running around.

Again though, those are minor compared to the stuff going on the first night I attempted to play. So progress is very much appreciated!

 

you have to reboot the game when it does that, sucks you go back in the queue tho, it'll get fixed in the first patch im sure

 

I just find it funny the biggest issue I had was the 3 hour downtime from midnight to 3am to release day and one invisible npc. Other than that I have 20+ hours into the game already

 

My "issues" haven't been with the servers or the game but domestic in nature e.g. wife and son requiring my attention in lieu of me being able to game. With this in mind, should I have bought the game? I mean, it's pretty much just been sitting there collecting
dust. D'Oh!

 

I played about 5hrs today with only a few slowdowns! very enjoyable game!
