Should I buy BF4?

.....heh...South Park is getting a game?...really? ......will it be of similar "esteemed quality" as say the Family Guy game was I wonder

 

They left during the MW2 cycle due to EA's insistance on the future of the Call of Duty series, forced to branch off more or less. It's clear to me Titanfall is essentially COD: Future Warfare, including visual style and game mechanics. Where I draw hope
is their jump from WW2 to modern was truly amazing (even though fundamentally the game played the same). I want this to be a similar success and agree there's no point in jumping to absolute conclusions, although past experience means alarm bells are ringing.

The completely different style of combat has been done before and in a much more ambitious manner - see Shadowrun (the only 360 / PC cross platform game) - that game played like Counterstrike but had gliding, double jump, teleporting through walls, katanas,
unique and balanced 'classes', super speed, bring back from dead, and an awful lot more.... The ambition and variety of gameplay remains unparrelled to this day. Unfortunately M$ fired the developers, shut down support and killed it off.

Anyway, my bad for the long post this **** interests me lol.... I am definitely looking forward to playing Titanfall and hope it rejuvenates this stale genre, big ask though.

 

actually.....on PS3, I have DC Universe Online (have it on PS4 too now) and when that game came out, a friend of mine had it on PC and we were able to play together .....now, I may be wrong but I assume PS4 and PC gamers can share certain titles too ....and
it stands to reason when I'm playing it on my PS4 now, that I might be playing with PS3 and PC players

 

They state you can play between PS3 and PS4, not PC. I'll quote the official FAQ...

I don't know further than that, think I've heard of games other than Shadowrun doing it, although to my knowledge its the first and only game to do it somewhat successfully. PS4 and X1 share the same x86 PC architecture - this gen more than ever they could
in theory make a fully cross platform game. That would require shared servers and other sharing of information the competition would not easily agree to. It's something I'd like to see again, even if it was just branded console to PC.

 

that's probably true, but back when the game first came out I was able to play on my PS3 with a friend on PC...ofcourse back then the game wasn't free to play...heck, now it's free to download and own

 

Yea that could be it, I don't have a PS or gaming PC... so have been completely oblivious to DC Universe.

[/quote]I concour!! This game still has some spawning issues imo, but the lobbies are fixed the lag is mostly gone, I just played a couple rounds an Im ok other than a sore throat from screaming at my Spawn-deaths an getting shot in the back all the time BUT
I picked up a IRV scope an man it is sweet! actually went on a mini kill spree on MY favorite second assault map Gulf of Oman, an Operation Firestorm.
