    Short warranty issue


    Hi guys,

    I am trying to get a service warranty call made for this user (I work in a currys store in the UK).

    When I try to log the job, it only offers a paid repair as it says that the hardware warranty ended on 25/10/16. The customer purchased the unit from our store on 16/06/16, how is this possible?

    stick drift

    I have three Xbox One controllers that have stick drift. I've tried resyncing them and still have to same issue. None of them are under warranty. The warranty is very short. Can these controller be repaired or replaced?

    Warranty shorter than 1 year

    Thanks all for replying. Yes the only way to correct the warranty period is to ring the helpdesk. The staff will then send an email requesting a reply with the scanned copy of the receipt. Surprisingly, pdf is not the preferred format. Instead, the receipt
    should be scanned as an image in .jpg, .gif or .tiff. After that, it probably will take a week before the warranty details are updated in the XBOX.com account. The staff also confirmed that any device such as the wireless controller bought as part of the bundle
    will have the same warranty period so make sure the receipt is kept safely for at least a year.

    Controller Issue - Can hear in Game and Party chat, but cannot talk

    There could be a short in the cord or issues with connection of the headset mic or parts of the headset itself.

    Most manufactures have some warranty if it's a newer headset.

    The warranty for the Elite controller is 1 year which is really short, but considering the terrible build quality it's not surprising that it's so short.

    Where did you purchase it from? I believe Microsoft themselves only have a short warranty on controllers, but wherever you purchased the controller from might have a longer warranty as standard. If the bumper isn't responding, then it's likely an issue
    with the controller itself, and it might need to be repaired.

    Is the Power Supply hot or does the LED flicker..?? It might have been shorted & not powering the console properly... If you are still under warranty, take the console to where you purchased it & say it's needs a warranty repair etc.. Some stores sort warranty
    issues in-store & might replace the console with a refurbished console for you..

    If its still under warranty you can get it fixed. If not a short term option in the controller settings is to set a larger dead zone, this helps illuminate the stick drift issue shirt term.
