Shivering Isle DLC disc on Xbox One

In order to use the Shivering Isles DLC disc on Xbox One, you must own the digital version of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion to play. Unfortunately it is not possible to use the Shivering Isles disc with alongside the disc version of Oblivion.

So I have to buy the game I already bought....guess I'll just play without Shivering Isles

No, I have the actual discs. . . Oblivion and Shivering Isles/Knights of the Nine expansion pack. I do not have the Game of the Year Edition, just to clarify further. Shivering Isles (and my other DLC; Thieves Den & Fighter's Stronghold) shows up when I
go to Manage Game, but Knights of the Nine doesn't.

to clarify. You need to own the base game digitally and have the Shivering Isles disc inserted into the console in order to use the DLC off the disc. That's why it's not showing up for you in ready to install. If you purchase Oblivion digitally and keep
the Shivering Isles disc inserted into the console, it should work for you properly. The other way to play the Shivering Isles/Knights of the Nine DLC is to purchase both of those DLC's separately digitally and have the base game disc inserted into the console.

Its on xbox one, and the game is digitally downloaded but the dlc, shivering isles and knights of the nine, are off of the goty disc 2. I cannot play the dlc without the disc in the console but if i remove the disc and then put it back in i need to redownload
the update and the dlc off the disc.

To clarify, do you own the base game through Games on Demand and have the Shivering Isles disc currently inserted into the Xbox One console? That's required in order to use content from the Shivering Isles Disc.
