    Hello!

    I currently own a Xbox One 500GB system and am looking to getting Xbox One S with more memory in it.

    However, as my current Xbox One has little value now a days so I am thinking of shipping it to my lady who lives across the globe.

    I live in Finland, she lives in United States. Would my Xbox One 500GB work in United States if I also got the power supply that was made for US? I have seen a few forum posts about it but havent really seen a straight answer.

    Also planning to ship a few games with the console. It shouldn't affect how they work especially if playing on console made for EU country? and future games bought from Live store.

    You should never use any type of power converter with your console.They can damage the console & void the warranty.

    If you want to use you console in a different country you need to buy the correct power brick for the country you are in.

    hey Blooming and Viperous, next time please start a new thread regarding your issue, rather than posting at the end of a somewhat related thread from 3 years ago.

    you can buy power converters to use foreign devices in other location. just a quick search gave me a result for a device that actually goes both ways. it will step down from 240/220v to 120/110v, but it also steps up from 120/110 to 240/220. that only
    costs about $35 USD after shipping. i'm sure there are other similar items at other prices.

    the main point though is that the console is NOT a waste, though you will have to spend a little more to get it working. another option would be to sell the console and buy a new one. it may end up being cheaper that way.
