Shipping from UK to Germany for repairs

Hi

My xbox series x is currently broken, it will not turn on.

I have submitted a service request and have been sent return instructions.

The instructions have a shipping label but it also says the following. "Customs Invoice – 3 copies of the included Customs Invoice are required
for any delivery with a commercial value, being sent to/from one country
to another. Please print 3 copies of the Customs Invoice. Shipment date
and your signature are required on each copy."

There is no customs invoice included as stated, will I be safe just sending it back with the attached shipping label, it seems impossible to actually speak to a person at microsoft and the bots on chat don't understand what I'm asking them.

Since it's going to another country, you will most likely need them. You can request a call back or chat with support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you're not seeing those options, change your category/topic until you do. Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works for me.

Side question to so this .

In the past the repairs have always gone to the UK center, but this time it's going to Germany.

Seems a little waste of money shipping it to Germany then shipping it back.

Any reason for this?

alot of xbox consoles go to germany from the UK, one of the main repair centers for microsoft. my place also deals with them but not on a large scale. so its fine going there.

Any unorthorised repair would be considered a 'mod' if it's found out. These repairs are in violation of the Xbox ToS. As for where the repair's are done, it doesn't matter. If your console is in warranty it will be repaired for free, they even cover
the shipping costs. If it is out of warranty, the price you pay also covers the shipping costs. The shipping cost is not dependant on your location. I'm fom the UK and our machines are sent to Germany!
