    Shields

    Right now I'm lvl. 54 using the Shield of Solitude and Dragonbane. Although I do constantly switch my sword hand with magic cause my character is a Warrior-Mage. But never do i un-equip my shield, I always leave it on cause I like to be protected at all
    times. Plus it helps that the Shield of Solitude grants me 35% resistance to magic giving me a total of 85% resistance to all magics.

    On my main character, an Imperial, I used a sword and shield. It's a lot of fun and block is sooo easy to level up. Block was the first skill I got to 100. Anyways after I got max level on block I started using a greatsword to boost up the two handed skill
    but that's not fun at all. I'm level 52 atm and that's good with me. Back to the shield I go.

    The Balder Shield, the Spider Shield, and the Blood Shield, the Crest Shield, and the Dragon Crest Shield are all pretty good medium shields. The greatshield of Artorias is also the best greatshield in my opinion.

    Went up to level 56 without ever using a shield.

    But now with most of my skills at 100, I'm taking up Blocking and hoping to improve that to continue leveling up.

    Time to use Toa's Defender (dragon bone shield with magic resistance and block fortification)

    Lady Bastet; have you tryed selling items back to merchant on at a time to up your Speech skill? It is a good way to up it and get better deals. So you may afford more Soul Gems.
