Sharing XBOX Live Gold and Game Pass Membership with accounts

To clarify, a Game Pass membership would not share via the Home console - games that are installed via Game Pass will share, but the account that owns the Game Pass membership would need to be the one to download the game.

To make sure, do both you and that friend show active Xbox Live Gold memberships when you sign in and check your
Subscriptions Page?

You don't need to set up an additional Live membership. You can actually share the Gold membership as well as digital game purchases between both children via the Home sharing feature. Whichever child has the Gold membership on their account should be
set as Home on the other child's console. Then their Gold membership and any digital game purchase as well as most DLC (skins and some in game features are not shared.) and Xbox Game Pass.

EA Access is not available to share with this feature.

Can i buy gold separate from the game pass ultimate? Even when they combine together?

Just to clarify... Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Includes Xbox Games Membership for Console and PC plus Xbox Live Gold for Console.

So in this case if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you have already Xbox Live Gold.

Also remember that you can share the Xbox Live Gold, Game pass with all your accounts (family) in your home console!

Unfortunately Xbox live discontinued their family membership to pursue game pass, however I do recommend that you have the 2 adult accounts with the Xbox live membership and share with the child accounts via home share feature on consoles
