Sharing Xbox live across 2 xboxes

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have questions on home console. With

home console the Xbox console you set as home any profile can play and use the Xbox live. This should be the profile that has the Xbox live subscription. The other console only the profile that is set as home on the other console will be able to play. The
other accounts will need Xbox live unless you can sign in the home console profile. So here is an example. will reference kids as 1, 2, and 3.

A. Kid 1 as the Xbox live subscription. His profile will be set as home on the console all kids use the most which is console B. He will also add his profile to console A. He can play on console A or B with no issues.

B Kid 2 and 3 they will be able to play on Console B with no issues. If they try and play on Console A, kid 1 will need to be logged in.

So if Kid 2 and 3 want to game together they can play on separate consoles. The one on Console A will only need to sign in Kid 1.

Also please note you can't change your home console more than 5 times in a calendar year, so make sure when you designate your home console.

Kids are like sponges try to give them other things to expound their knowledge. Do you have a spare computer or laptop. Has anyone in your family learned to play chess. Teach the other kids chess or some coding etc while the others are playing games. Trust
me it will be very beneficial for everyone one day. Just saying. I learned chess at age 4. I am not a master now but i play pretty well and it gave me initiative to code and have a pretty good career in technology. But what you choose for your kids is your
choice. There is so much they can do they dont have to be on the xbox at the same time limits do work along with giving them alternatives which i am sure you possibly do.

you can only have one console set as home, the home xbox then shares games and live across accounts, the other will not.

You would have to set YOUR console back to your home.

It will really only effect anyone else who uses your console. It also prevents from Auto Downloads starting on your system. So if you bought a game online via xbox.com you would have to go start the install on your system manually.
