Sharing Ultimate with family

I have just bought and set up a new series X and have an ultimate subscription.

I've set up my old xbox One in my sons room and set him up a child account in family settings.

I got him set up and logged in on the xbox one, but when I turn on the series X and attempt to play using my account it says I'm already playing on xbox one and need to log out of the device.

Will he need his own ultimate account to play games downloaded from gamepass at the same time as I'm playing on the other console?

Why doesn't family sharing work on PC with my Ultimate subscription? My son can use our family Ultimate on his Xbox but not on PC.

You would need to set his console as your Home in order to share the Ultimate subscription with him. https://beta.support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

However, you can only set 1 console as your Home at a time, so if you are sharing with anyone else on the Series X, they will lose access to the subscription and either you would need to be signed in or you leave the Series X as your Home and buy your son
his own subscription.

At the moment you can only xbox share with one other console, total of 2 consoles.

Yes I think there should be a Game Pass Ultimate Family package for 4 or 5 users to share.

I should say that my son has his own account/Xbox gamer tag.

I’m sharing the Ultimate pass with him as a family member.
