    Sharing Series X games with a Series S


    Hi All,

    I have a Series X and just bought a Series S for my son for Christmas.

    Is it possible if i install a disc game on his profile on my Series X and then it be downloadable on the Series S?

    I want to buy MW3 and im old school and like a disc but im thinking how he will be able to play it on a Series S.

    Or is the only option to buy a digital download and use the Series X as Home Xbox and he can download it way? IF we do that can we play at the same time?

    No. The progress is not shared between the One version of the game and Series S/X version.

    Xbox one s isn’t compatible with series s games

    Depending on what the game is, if what you bought is for the Series S/X then it will only work on the Series S/X. The One was released before the Series S/X. One games will work on the Series S/X, but not always vice versa.

    They released that game as a One version and as a Series S/X version. The Series S/X version will only work on a Series S/X.

    The Series X version of the game will also work on a Series S. Are you sure you have a Series S and not a One S? The Series S/X version will not work on a One.

    Hello Xbox community, this is about Xbox series x/s versions of games!

    Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?
