Sharing memberships on same console using 2 accounts

As long as the account that you put the code on has the console set as its home console then it will share any subscriptions with any other profile on that console.

My apologies! I am out of ideas as to what else might have been causing this. But let us ask knowledge from other advisor to see if they have something to share that can help us resolve this. I'll open the thread to others for them to share insights.

I've checked and my service is active, no problems there.

I've also visited the devices page and it does state that our "Living Room" Xbox is the "Home" Xbox.

When another account is signed in to the Xbox, they are redirected to the Xbox store to purchase a membership, even though all the above seems to be in order.

Any other suggestions?

Just this prompt to all other accounts signed onto the Xbox asking to purchase a pass even though the "Home" Xbox account has Xbox Ultimate and is able to play online multiplayer with no issues.





I also noticed that if my account (with this Xbox set as "Home") is signed in, multiplayer works fine. On the Xbox support pages, it states the following:





It seems to be that this Xbox isn't registering my account as the primary Xbox (even though it is set as "Home"), and only the "On the go" method is working.

I've tried removing the account and re-adding it, as well as removing this Xbox as "Home" and re-enabling it, which also does not work. I'm hesitant on trying that again because I now only have 3/5 switches left because of this swap.

Anything else we can think of?

EDIT: Want to make it clear exactly what my issue is:

• Account 1 has an Xbox Ultimate membership, Account 2 does not have an Xbox Gold or Ultimate membership.
  
• Account 1 has the Xbox set as its "Home Console".
  
• Account 1 can play online multiplayer fine.
  
• When Account 1 is "signed in", Account 2 can play online multiplayer.
  
• When Account 1 is "signed off" (but still registered on the console), Account 2 prompts to purchase a membership when trying to play online multiplayer.
  

EDIT 2: Game share works fine, Account 2 is able to download and play all games purchased on Account 1 and all game pass games. Online multiplayer seems to be the only issue.
