  1. Sharing gold question: worried my friend won't be able to play his downloaded ACU

So if my friend comes over to my place and downloads his profile onto my X1 (which has gold for 7 years straight), I know he'll be able to play multiplayer on Assassin's Creed Unity (which has has downloaded on it from the bundle I bought him for a Christmas
present). He doesn't have gold right now (because he has a terrible connection at home). If he plays ACU on my X1, then goes home and tries to play it on his console at home on single-player, will he have any issues playing it? I know with disc-based he wouldn't,
but have no idea how digital rights work.

    :)

I have main account on son's Xbox One but I now want to send it to where he lives with his mother - How do I set up the Xbox before sending?

And I will repeat my answer to your question: Your son will be able to do everything permitted to the account of a minor through his account, while sharing all the perks of gold membership and game sharing with your account.

Having gold on your account won't affect anything you're sharing with your friend. As long as your console is set as their Home console, you'll still be able to play their games.

No, he won't have any issues playing it like that. Digital games work the same as discs.

The sandwich-man is right! Sharing gold question: worried my friend won't be able to play his downloaded ACU :) Digital Rights in the past used to be tied only to a specific console (hence having to transfer licenses in the 360 era if you had to get a different console.) In the new era, the license for a game actually travels with your
login. The only time the license actually travels to the console is if you set a console as your "Home Console" which then allows you to play the game offline. However in this instance, the license is ALSO still attached to your gamertag, so you can go anywhere,
log in as yourself, and play anything you've purchased!

    Game Sharing

    Hey gamingboy177,

You can actually share games with your friends as well as gold on a console. It is a part of the "Home Xbox" feature. Basically, if your friend has his console set as his "Home" and you are on that console. He is able to share his games
with you to play without having to be logged in.

However, if he switches another console as his "Home", you won't be able to play his games on that console.

More info on the home feature can be found here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

    Best,

    Nozzle :)

He's just worried he won't be able to play his games once he moves out as he only has digital games and he thinks that once he's moved he won't be able to use any of them cuz he's sharing his games with me.
