Sharing Games

I am very mad at the fact that unlike on the xbox 360 you can not share games on the xbox one. My brother and i often share our games because we both have an xbox one and because of not having a lot of money we buy one game instead of two of each one. Now
on the 360 games can be downloaded from someones profile onto your xbox. My brother recently got the new dragon age and i was able to download it but after a two hour wait i was told that i cant play the game without him being singed on. I called Microsoft
and they confirmed that this feature was not added to the xbox one. The guy i talked to also said that if enough people said something about this problem that they may change it and Microsoft has never let down their customers before when it comes to xbox
so i really do think they would change it we just need to get enough xbox players to say something about this problem. So you guys should all bring up this problem to them somehow whether by calling or emailing them or even posting on the forums im sure they
go through and read these.

The best way to suggest a feature like this would be on the UserVoice site which can be found at feedback.xbox.com There have already been things suggested there which have been incorporated in system updates!

Dragon Age is EA title...

EA has always been different where sharing is concerned and continues to do its best to maximise its profit and minimise usability of features it does not agree with.

Are both devices running EA Access app? Do both of you have EA Origin profiles sign in?

Just wondering because this might just work if you jump through enough EA hoops.

You can share games on the Xbox One. Just have each of you sign the other person in on your respective consoles and set it as their home Xbox.

So for example you sign in your brother on your console and go to settings and find the option to set this console as your home Xbox and vice versa.

Now you can play his games without signing them in, you can both even play the same game at the same time.

Vern, I would caution against this in most cases. While it would be acceptable in the circumstance of family members sharing games like Rave mentions, I've seen others talk about using it in such a way that their friends don't have to pay for games or vice
versa. The intended use of the Home Xbox feature is so a person who uses multiple Xboxes (i.e. at home and at work, or at home and at a family member's house) could download something at their non-home location, and then have it already downloaded and ready
to go when they get home (and can play it while offline.) I could see the argument that using this so a friend can play games you've purchased might be considered a borderline form of piracy. It's basically gaming the system.

It would be nice to hear an official word from MS, but as yet, I've not heard them specifically address the idea that some people have openly mentioned doing - setting a friend's Xbox as their Home system, so anything they buy will show up for their friend
without them having to purchase it. I would be nervous about it, personally.

 

It does work though. My Xbox One had mine and girl friends gamer tag on it. After a while, she decided to go out and get the Assassin's Creed Bundle Xbox One and after she did, she used the download codes for the games. After I signed onto my Xbox One, I
noticed that the games she had codes to download onto her Xbox One, had already downloaded onto my Xbox One. I think it was only because her gamertag on already on my system. We could play the same game at the same time and even on Co-Op games. Crazy when
it is just one game. But being we are in the same house hold, I believe this should be the way it is. Should be no reason for us to have 2 of the same game just to play it.
