    Sharing game pass with Nephew

Hi, I want to add my nephew's xbox to my game pass account. If I put his xbox as my home xbox, will it delete his online games or can he still access them and play? Or is there a better way to add his xbox to my account? Thank you.

    :)

He'll still be able to access everything he has on his account now.

    Hi

If you set your nephews console as your home console then this should allow him to share most of your games purchased through the store on the console in addition to a feature called home gold. If you do set your nephews console as your home console please
make sure to set up a passkey to prevent him from making purchases using your account.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try that. Will we be able to do that at different houses? I thought it was a network thing.

There should be no problem with doing it from different houses. It really wasn't MS's intent for it to be used that way, but they're aware that people are using it that way and don't appear to be bothered enough to mess with it.

    My wife and I game share and it works great. Some advice I can give you from my own experience;

When you get your new Xbox, have your nephew there when you turn it on for the first time and set it up. When it asks for a gamertag/profile, let him log in with his account. That should, by default, set your new console as his "Home" Xbox. Your original
console will remain your Home Xbox. He won't need a Gold account. After you get that set up, just check to make sure that the new console is set to his Home Xbox. The console may even ask if you want to make it your (or your nephew's as the case may be) Home
console during the setup process, I can't remember, but at least if he's there it will save a few steps. You also may just want to double check and make sure Gold sharing is turned on in your old console's settings... I believe it is by default.

It sounds backwards, but in order to game share, that's how it works. You will still play on the new console, your nephew will get your old console, but you shouldn't have to do any extra steps like getting your new console all set up and having it become
your Home Xbox... then realize it needs to be switched in order to use game sharing.

A few other things to remember. Switching your Home Xbox is only allowed up to 3 times in a 12 month period (rolling 12 months I think). Hence the reason I recommended what I said above, because you won't accidentally use one of your 3 changes right off
the bat. And the biggest draw back; if you lose internet service or just want to go offline, you won't be able to play any digital games (game sharing doesn't work with disc based games at all but you probably knew that anyway). You have to be online to play
since you're technically not playing on "your" Xbox.

So hopefully that helps you sort it out and gets you headed in the right direction.

Sharing games with my two nephews

Hello Ivan,my name is Marvina, I will be happy to help you.

The short answer is yes, it is possible for your nephews to share a Game Pass each in their own VM. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

First of all, you must have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The basic Game Pass subscription does not allow you to share games.

Second, you must configure each VM with its own Microsoft account.

This can be done by creating a Microsoft account for each nephew.

Third, you must install the Game Pass client on each VM.

Once you've done all this, your nephews will be able to log into their own Game Pass accounts on their own VMs and play the games that are available on their subscription.

Here is a summary of the steps you need to follow:

Get a subscription to Game Pass Ultimate.
Create a Microsoft account for each nephew.
Install the Game Pass client on each VM.

Sign in to each VM with the corresponding Microsoft account.

As for your brother, if he is using the desktop PC directly, he will not be able to share a Game Pass.

A Game Pass subscription only allows you to share games with up to five people, and your brother already counts as one of them.

If your brother also wants to share a Game Pass, you can consider getting a family subscription. However, as you mentioned, family membership is not available in Croatia at the moment.
