Sharing game pass ultimate with family over two consoles in the same house

Surely I can't be the only one in this scenario, and have more than one Xbox in the family home. . .this really feels like it defeats the purpose of investing into more than one xbox device in your home, when you can't play together on the same game.

I certainly have no plans to be paying for another game pass subscription just so I can occasionally play with my children on the second console.

Indeed you are not.. I’m finding this extremely frustrating. I just want to play the same game with my kids. I’m finding this extremely frustrating. There’s no way I’m buying another Game Pass just to occasionally play multiplayer with my kids but being able to play the same game on different TVs together in the same house would be a huge benefit. It does seem to defeat the purpose of having two Xbox consoles in the house. If I would have known this wouldn’t work I might as well have bought a PS5

Unfortunately, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription can only be shared on a single console, when you have multiple accounts on multiple consoles you'd need to purchase a separate subscription unfortunately.

The only other way ro do it would be abusing the system beyond what it currently is on ALL consoles.

Therr can only be one primary which has offline access to dlc and subscriptions this is preventing abuse and theft if more then one is allowed noone will make games as people will be giving out there details freely more then they currently are

The profile with the subscription can roam and only that profile

So your setup will only work on any console this way

The one console A that the kids play on is it you have 10 switches per year I wouldn't use it but wouldn't solve your problem as the other console can only use your profile anyways

Then the other conSole B Can use your content but only on YOUR profile and signed in online

This is to prevent content sharing and theft beyond family

There is no family plan and no game maker will allow it

Imagine the amount of theft happening when 5 consoles allow for the same game and only paying oncce

Thats 80 dollars a peice and it's shared with the neighborhood they do have to be paid would you limit if someone borrowed your lawnmower and rented it out to the neighborhood and you get it back broken ?

Yes you can! I have the same setup at my place the only thing is that you have to create a different profile in the other Xbox. Add your account to both then make a different profile in one of the consoles and when you play with anyone else they have to use the “guest” profile not yours you profile “game pass owner” can’t be use at the same time in two consoles.
