Discus and support Sharing DLC with my son on the same console. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have both of our accounts set as "home" and I can't find anything anywhere about license transfers or whatnot.... so I had to create this new thread....     Sharing DLC with my son on the same console.


    I have both of our accounts set as "home" and I can't find anything anywhere about license transfers or whatnot.... so I had to create this new thread.

    I go into his account to use the extra slots, skins, and the other DLC I purchased and it shows up in the settings, but not in the game. When I bit the bullet and figured I'd just pay for it all again it says "already downloaded". So he basically can't
    get these things even if I was willing to pay twice.

    The season pass works for him, but not the Exo suits, nano skin, extra slots, extra loot, etc... nor will his on mine.

    Any tips? Thank you

    Have you changed your console since you purchased the DLC?

    If so, you will need to transfer the DRM licenses to the new console to make it work for all profiles.

    you can try clearing the cache and seeing if that works, you'll just have to re-install all the updates for your games though.

    Have you changed your console since you purchased the DLC?

    Hi there!

    As long as the shared console is set up to be the Home Console for your son's account then most DLC is sharable to other profiles on the same console. I say most because some developers do not allow their expansion DLC's to be sharable, like Destiny 2 for
    example.

    What I mean is, put the gold on your son's account instead of yours, not buying a 2nd gold subscription on his account.

    As far as your questions about buying 2 games/DLC, it would work the same as gold sharing does. You can only share on the Home console.
