Sharing content uploaded to Xbox Network keeps asking for upload

When sharing a capture from the guide, the UI keeps asking to "UPLOAD TO THE XBOX NETWORK" for a couple of times (cloud icon is ghosted so it's already upload even for the UI) and every time a new copy is made if you check the online content.

    One Drive does not work

You can use Upload Studio to upload video content to OneDrive. The following support page will help you: Upload Studio Sharing Clips

Once your content is on OneDrive, you can use the OneDrive app on a tablet or your phone to download your content.

    Microsoft Xbox Live Cloud Inquiry

    Thanks Stan,

I've been trying to get my head around the terms, Xbox network and Onedrive.

Prior to the name change from XBox Live to Xbox network, when you uploaded a screenshot or clip it would appear in the Activity feed of your Xbox profile.

Now the uploaded screenshot or clip is stored before choosing where to share it.

I understand the change is for privacy issues with sharing etc, and much prefer this new system, but wonder if I really need Onedrive if I keep my Xbox network storage space under a limit.

With the Xbox app on my mobile phone I can download from the Xbox network instead of Onedrive.

Does uploading to Xbox network have a storage space limit?

Is there a way to determine storage space used on the Xbox network?

    9-days-old Captures Missing

Hi Alexkatbat! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

When you make a capture, the file that represents it exists only on your console. Uploading your captures to the Xbox network is helpful for two things: viewing your captures when you’re using a mobile or PC app from Xbox, and sharing your captures.

Automatic uploading is standard, but in case you need to turn it on, press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Settings > Preferences > Capture & share > Automatically upload.

To upload a capture that wasn’t uploaded automatically, select the capture, and then select Upload.

    Things to keep in mind

You can upload up to 10 GB of captures to the Xbox network. Once you reach those limits, you’ll need to delete existing captures to upload new ones.

Any game clip or screenshot uploaded to the Xbox network that gets no views in 30 days will be deleted. Viewing it yourself counts as a view and saves a capture from deletion.

Captures that don't get uploaded to the Xbox network will remain on the console they were recorded on.

All this information it's available on support site

How to auto Upload Screenshots and DVR clips from insider build to OneDrive automatically

    Hi there,

If you look in Settings > Preferences > Capture and Share, there is a dropdown box that auto uploads, but I assume to Xbox Live. You can to bulk upload to OneDrive and upload to your feed, but as you may know already, it has to be done manually. :)

Here's how, for anyone who needs this info:

Press the Guide button > Capture and Share > Recent Captures > Show All.

On the dropdown menu, choose 'On This Xbox', wait for your content to populate, and once done, select if you want to see only Screenshots, only Game Clips or Everything. Again,
wait for the content to populate, or you will get an error that 'There's nothing here'.

Go all the way to the right and press the List View button (the box with lines and tick marks).

From there, tick which content you want to upload, choose 'Upload to OneDrive' or 'Upload to Xbox Live' and hey presto. :) Wait for the processing screen to report that all content has begun uploading. If you want to check each item's status, go back to
the first dropdown box, and select 'Upload Queue'.

Make sure that you do not delete the files until the queue is clear, or you will risk losing the content.

If you want to share individual content to your Xbox Live Feed, you will have to open the content, press Down on the D-pad, Click the Share To button (the box with arrow coming out of it), and choose the Activity Feed option.

    Hope this helps,

    L
