Sharing an account at the same time

I have had an account for about 10 years maybe longer. I have 2 boys that have always shared the account and play different games but now they want to be able to play different games but on the same account at the same time. Is this possible.

unfortunately that isn't possible.

they will each need their own accounts to play at the same time. this means they will lose all their progress in games but it will give you the options to set up parental controls.

for them to be able play the digital games you will need to make the Xbox your Home Xbox.

if you have 2 Xboxes that they want to play on you would need to sign in on the Xbox that isn't set as your Home then have your son switch to his profile

Not possible, the account will be signed out if another signs into it.

the account with gold set up as xbox principal on the xbox which not play with the account with gold

thanks for the quick reply.

so how we’ve got it currently set up is that the X is set as my partners home console with my profile signed in, and the S is then set as my home console with my partner signed into it.

Ive added her into my family as well and that is showing ok, looked into the account settings and restrictions for both users also, and again, they look good also.
