Shame on you Microsoft

This isn't right, just had to say something. It's **** and absolutely ridiculous Microsoft doesn't make the Kinect adapter anymore. This is how you treat your loyal customers? I bought an Xbox one x day 1 and decided to await to buy the adapter. What a mistake.
Now, if you can find one, the price is through the roof. To my knowledge there was no indication production on the adapter would be stopped. So now I have a worthless Kinect. As an early adopter I am very disappointed. I bought a surface, Xbox one, one x day
one and this is what I get. I even still use a Microsoft windows phone believe it or not. I have always been very pleased with Microsoft products and this one hurts. Shame. Do the right thing and send or sell me one at the original price. Or you could just
keep making them. Shame. Can someone at support make this right?

Shame on you Microsoft Games

I will not be bullied into upgrading to the ad free version! Your ads are making it impossible to play this game. They now freeze my mouse and then make the puzzle pieces jump. All the while the timer on the daily challenges is running down and you can't
complete the challenges. And for some reason, the dumb H&R Block ad is completely freezing the game. I like doing the puzzles, but I am done until or unless this changes.

I think you need to bite the bullet mate and just purchase one. I did today and paid £119 including postage. Prices are going sky high since this news about adapters came out. in just a few hours of me purchasing it at the said price the same company is
now adding another £20, so selling for £139.

But if you have any luck getting one out of Microsoft at the original price of £39.99 let me know.

 

Xbox Support can troubleshoot accounts and hardware. They won't have access to sell you anything.

Xbox Support is tied to supporting the products as they are. There's nothing that Xbox Support can do for you when it's not in their control.

Xbox/Microsoft above the "support" level decided to make these changes. And it appears they decided to stop making the Kinect and the Kinect adapter.

 

I do not want to use my kinect bad enough to fork up 6, 7, 8x the original price of the adapter. Hopefully a 3rd part starts making them.

As far as "support" goes, I just had to say something. Anyone reading this knows it isn't right what msft has done. All peripherals were supposed to work with xbox one x and now they don't. And all the people that bought an xbox one s with kinect games for
their kids for christmas are **** out of luck too.

It really is a shame.

for the adapter. The parts are readily available.

I thought about that but I don't want to potentially ruin my kinect because msft screwed their loyal fans. That's exactly what they did, they SCREWED us.

 

The thing is you can keep arguing about it with MSft but where will it get you. Your still short of an adapter And Microsoft aren't all of a sudden going to change their minds, and start supplying people with adapters. It is up to you to decide how important
the Kinect is to you and what steps you want to take in order for you to use it. I was umming and arring about the adapter. I was looking in December last year, in MS store, Amazon. I refused to pay £80 for what should have been £40. Then the price shot up
to £119, and the same day MS announced they were stopping the production of the adapter. I bit the bullet and brought one. I had the original Xbox One, which I gave to my sister and brought myself the Xbox One X. This is why I needed the adapter. I wasn't
happy about paying such a high rice for a lead. but my Kinect is now working. Yes if I saw the video beforehand I would have made up my own adapter. So decide how important The Kinect is to you then decide what your going to do. If it ws me i'd make my own
by following video, or buy the parts and get someone who has the skills and do it for you.

 

The kinect is $40 worth of importance to me. Not enough to try to rig one up. I'm more disappointed than anything. I'm sure i'm not the only one that is upset. Oh well, just have to wait for a 3rd party to make one. Besides, mstf
were the ones that said all peripherals would work with the one x so that makes them liars.

 

Well like some else said to me, when the adapter was available all peripherals did work so yes they where right. it's all about marketing. You could always buy a used Kinect camera cheap and modify that, or if you not confident enough and your not to far
from me and based in the uk I could solder one up for you. you get the bits i'll do the work.

 

Everything does work, you can't blame Microsoft for greedy scalpers jumping in and buying up stock. They announced 25th October that the Kinect was not being manufactured, so it would figure that the adapters would be stopped soon after. They probably manufactured
more than enough but scalpers got them first.

 

But they are still falsely advertising the XBox One X and Xbox One S as fully compatible with the Xbox One when they are not longer compatible with the kinect, so we can blame them, and I think we could even take legal actions against them since this two
products which are are advertised as fully compatible, are not, because they decided to drop production on a required adapter.
