Shadow of the Tomb Raider Bundle glitch!!

Hi Xbox Community,

I recently purchssed an Xbox One X 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' bundle from my local store.

I have redeemed the online code for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and installed the game on my hard drive I click on it and it states 'you are too early- We know you would really like to get started, but you will have to wait a bit longer. Check the Microsoft
store for the launch date.

However the game has been officially released and is currently in the store!

I then click on 'see in Microsoft store' and view that the product is installed, I then click on play and the same message appears above. It appears that this game is glitched, please would anybody know how to fix this issue?

Tomorrow we will see an announcement from Square Enix about the next Tomb Raider game.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Possibly the last in the Lara Croft story.

Personally I can't wait as Tomb Raider and Rise of were both fantastic.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is "climatic finale of Lara Croft's origin story"


Looks like a possible release of September 14, 2018.

I have tried contactng support but there seems to be a problem. Entering the Country of region is fine +44 United Kingdom. But the phone number underneath is shown as

XXX XXX XXX

Both landlines or mobile (cell) phones in the UK have 11 digits in total so it will not allow me to enter my number correctly.

This is a known issue with new console bundles that come with Shadow of the tomb raider. Currently the code is redeemable, but the license does not activate until January of 2019. This is something that we are working on internally and should be fixed
soon. Although, there is no estimated time frame on that.

I bought the Xbox one x Tomb raider bundle today and have this same issue... unacceptable that I have paid 450 pounds and specifically selected this bundle to find out it is unplayable. Where do I stand in terms of a refund as I have already redeemed this
code? Mis sold and decieved.

I agree with XBF Leslie D, I cannot understand why a game code was provided when there appears to be a problem with the license, surely it would have been easier and less hassle to put a physical copy of the game as part of the bundle instead? As a solution
to this problem I have been asked to Uninstall and Re-install the game but it will still not work, I then asked if I could be given a refund so that I could purchase the game via the Microsoft store but Xbox Support stated that the same issue would still
occur.

It is really disappointing that you buy 'the world most powerful console' but cannot play the game that is part of the bundle, It was interesting that this problem or issue was not highlighted or brought to my attention by the retailer (or manufacturer)
before I bought this otherwise I might have purchased an alternative bundle.

 

I totally get the frustration, but it's not the console's fault. It is an issue with the redemption code batch that was used for this bundle. I'm sure Microsoft will find a way to make it right, and I am also sure it you'll be playing well before January
2019.
