Shadow of Mordor new gameplay video

It always makes me laugh how there are at least five games every year which get a 'Game of the Year' edition released.

 

This is one of the game's I'm really wanting to turn out good, I just can't help have a feeling it's going to be a buggy mess. Hope I'm wrong but I shall give it a few day's after release before I decide I think.

 

It's a "Warner" title.

Their games tend to have decent production values so I think we can expect a winner with this.

 

Looking at the reviews 10/10 - Joystiq 9.3 - IGN 9.5 - Polygon 9/10 - Gamesradar, We definitely have a winner!

Got this on pre-order from Amazon for £37 - Bargain : )

Game looks great, its a solid game but does have its annoyances, I killed a beastie last night and went to admire is corpse only to find I could walk right through it as if it didnt exist which was a bit meh. Some texture pop in, but overall its Assasins
Creed with a tweak. Nemesis system seems fun, although I am rapidly getting a dislke for certain Warchief who keeps joyfully killing me. The intel system for strengths and weaknesses of your enemy warchiefs is good and makes you strategise encounters. Combat
is nice and free flowing and the executions are nicely animated, Off with thier heads! Once the ability skill tree and weapon upgrade skill tree start filliing up should add to the fun. Not impressed with the constant beasties to watch out for though,
annoying when your sneakin through Uruk land only to have a pack of Warg things attack and cause a ruckus, but that could be my idiocy in not avoiding them. Overall happy with it and looking forward to getting deeper tonight

 

I don't like it when enemies just disappears so being able to walk through them will annoy me too, it's not a major thing I know but I just like the small details in games. This and FH2, I've finally have new games to play on my XB1 lol.

 

^Same Drunky, I did Xbox Record that to show how rubbish it was but as its not released until Friday here it didnt show on my activity feed for friends to see. Got to say the rest of the game is cracking though (if you like Assasins Creed LOL!)

 

I don't really like the AC games, but I also hear it's a bit like the Arkham Games which I like.

 

To be honest mate its more AC than Arkham. The only difference in the combat between AC and Arkham is the enemies that you can only attack from the rear so you need to jump over them with the A button. At least thats my experience so far. If dont like
AC style sneaking, towers to open up map areas, eagle (wraith) vision etc then you may be dissapointed. Even the side quests seem really similar and hunting quests like gather herbs, kill three types of animal etc. Im loving it cos I like the AC games and
love LOTR, so its win win for me.

 

I don't hate the AC games I just sometimes find them a bit boring. But I like LOTR so I'm hoping I'll like this.
