Severely messed up xbox controller button!

Last week I was playing a fps game I went to jump and even just gently tapping the A button it got severly stuck and I can't press or get it undone. I've tried the qtip method multiple times and I no longer know how to fix it. I don't have the tools to open it nor the experience. So if anyone knows what I could do for it it's really frustrating not being able to play my game.

if its out of warranty and you don't have the tools to open it, i would take it to a local repair shop for them to open and clean it, should be pretty cheap too as i service all my own controllers.

Hey there poison ampoule and TwistedPixkle18,

If you accidentally unmapped the "A" button on the controller the way to fix it is to do the following. You will need a second controller to do this, it's not possible to correct the issue with the only controller.

1. Connect the controller with the problem to the console.

2. Connect a 2nd controller to the console.

3. Using the 2nd controller navigate to Settings>Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories.

You should see both controllers listed in the accessories screen here.

4. Using the 2nd controller Highlight and select "Configure" on the problem controller.

5. Adjust the button mapping so that the buttons will be configured as you prefer.

And that should do it, you can then disconnect the 2nd controller and navigate as normal.

Map button is not on the d-pad. To see the map you click the menu button that shows the big wheel with all the choices like character screen and inventory. The one in the center is quest map and it shows your map.

So my LB button is messed up so i try switching controllers inbetween rounds on battlefield what happened? new controller didnt work at all had to switch xbox off then on with voice control! getting beyond a joke now!!
